Larry Thomas is an experienced board trainer, consultant, and speaker who will assist you with enhancing your board's effectiveness.

• Over 20 years experience consulting to a wide variety of nonprofit boards

• Twenty-one years experience as a school superintendent in four school districts

• Doctor of Education Degree (Seattle university, 1991) with a focus on leadership studies

• Assists boards with establishing board operating structures and terms of reference, orientation of new board members, strategic planning, policy development, teambuilding, communications, and resolving board member conflict

• Client list includes: public, private and First Nations school boards, health and hospital boards and councils; economic development commission; coast guard auxiliary; housing and heritage societies, and a variety of provincial associations

• Board service includes terms as member of the provincial board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of British Columbia; past president of the Boys & Girls Clubs of British Columbia, and BC representative to the National Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada

• As The Board Coach, travels widely providing boards with cost effective, on-site training
